Regenerative Agriculture at Mosaic Farm

Our mission is to offer unique vegetables, fruits, nuts, pork and eggs
produced with regenerative organic practices, and provide a diverse,
seasonal diet to local customers, while developing a model farm
for the future. This includes investing in a carbon neutral energy
supply, building ecological capital on site, utilizing mixed systems of
perennial crops, and stewarding a low-input, self-regenerating system
where crops are byproducts of improvements in the site ecosystem.

Regenerative Organic Farming: A Solution to Global Warming
says the Rodale Institute

A 40% reduction of current carbon emissions is possible with a switch to regenerative organic agricultural practices:

"A conservative extrapolation of carbon sequestration data drawn from our own long-term research indicates that, if the world’s 3.5 billion tillable acres could be transitioned to organic agriculture now, land could sequester almost 40 percent of our current carbon emissions. No other proposed carbon mitigation solution comes close to that potential impact, particularly using existing and readily available technology."
